Remaining fluid in a world of rigidity.
It is said people spend a lifetime of self discovery trying to shape themselves to fit into this perfect mold of what society expects them to be. They spend time trimming away all them “imperfect” growths that don’t seem to fit into this mold that is expected of us. Not realising those imperfections, be them good or bad are what shape them. They tell stories, challenge stereotypes and go against systematic bullshit.
They make up an important part of your identity. They don’t deserved to be trimmed, nurture them heal them and guide them. You don’t want to be someone else’s copy and paste. Be un apologetically you, wear those imperfections like a rare badge that no one else can claim.
To survive is to remain fluid, shaping yourself to portray what who you are in that moment, but never loose your shape permanently. Fluid like water moves freely, temporarily taking the shape of any environment its put into. But flows naturally when unburdened of boundaries.
It was told resilience is like a rubber band, when its pulled then released it bounces back. The flaw in this is once pulled to far it will break. However if you were to run your hand through a stream of water, it would wash over your hand, temporarily taking its shape. Then it passes by leaving an impression, you walk away with a wet hand.
The water just keeps flowing.
